As a geological engineer with nearly two decades of hydrogeology experience, Marino specializes in hydrogeological and geological mapping and supervision of diamond and reverse air drilling programs. He also has experience with geological, geotechnical, geomechanical, and hydrogeological logging of soils and rocks, and oriented core sampling control.
Marino has developed projects in several Latin American countries including Peru, Colombia, and Chile. In his field, he’s most known for conducting hydrogeological investigations in all field stages and hydrogeological numerical modeling. One memorable project involved working on the Cerro Verde mine project from its inception as well as the Linga Dam. Now, he continues to do numerical modeling for the dam and Saddle Dam elevations.
When he isn’t working on hydrogeological projects, Marino enjoys swimming, playing soccer with his son, and family weekend getaways. He also enjoys reading books on Stoic philosophy, such as those by Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, and Epictetus, among others.
