Rebecca has worked on a range of archaeology projects throughout the southeastern US for more than a decade. Through her time at the Florida Public Archaeology Network and in cultural resource management, she¡¯s developed Â鶹´«Ã½ in archaeological survey and museum exhibit design. Her experience with historic cemetery research includes using her ground-penetrating radar (GPR) technical skills.
Rebecca believes the best archaeology engages with modern communities to address their questions. She¡¯s worked on numerous community projects that involve incorporating the community¡¯s knowledge and Â鶹´«Ã½ into a broader understanding of their histories. Whether it¡¯s interviewing descendants or using GPR to identify unmarked burials, Rebecca is most inspired by projects that bridge the past and present to address complex challenges.
When she isn¡¯t seeking answers for today from the artifacts of yesterday, Rebecca loves to paint, search for antique treasures at the local thrift shop, and hike with her husband and kids.
