A licensed architect, Courtney has worked on a broad range of project types for healthcare, higher education, residential, workplace, mixed-use, and adaptive reuse clients. She is dedicated to creating spaces that foster a connection between people, cultures, and the natural world.
Driven by a passion for achieving design excellence and folding sustainability into the conversation, Courtney believes good design isn’t possible without consideration for locality, durability, and health. She is interested not only in designing quality spaces but in guiding the profession and practice of architecture to consider the larger impact of the built environment on people and the world over time.
Courtney is an active member of the local Pittsburgh chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and serves as co-chair of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the AIA's Committee on the Environment (COTE). She previously served as a fellowship chair of Pittsburgh AIA Young Architects Forum.
Away from the world of architecture, Courtney enjoys the study and practice of the tea ceremony as a means of spatial connection and empathy.
